About Books in Africa
Books in Africa is a platform for publishing professionals on the continent and around the world who are interested in books published in Africa today. It is a free and open resource designed to increase the visibility of African publishers, authors, and their books within Africa and around the world. We hope the site is instrumental in helping find new audiences and customers. It also explores the buying and selling of rights.
People kept asking us: “Where can we find great books written in Africa?” and, “Where can we find publishers?” Our team at eKitabu saw an opportunity to offer Books in Africa as an open resource to close those gaps.
We invite you to engage with our incisive articles on a wide range of books, authors, and issues affecting the publishing industry in Africa. You are welcome to use and contribute data, give us feedback, and connect. All for free—there is no cost for listing your publishing house and titles on Books in Africa.
